The older I get the more I'm aware of what true friendship is and means. As a woman, it is hard to maintain good girl friends~ we're fickle like that. But also, I think we understand all too painfully what it means for certain friendships to have seasons in which they were most meaningful. Sometimes those seasons last a lifetime and sometimes those seasons end, with wonderful memories had and lessons learned. The more I realize this, the more at peace I am with the good friends I do have. I'm a lucky gal to be surrounded by so many thoughtful, creative, amazingly beautiful, grounded, faithful women.
Quote of the Day!
"What I expect from my male friends is that they are polite and clean. What I expect from my female friends is unconditional love, the ability to finish my sentences for me when I am sobbing, a complete and total willingness to pour their hearts out to me, and the ability to tell me why the meat thermometer isn't supposed to touch the bone."
- Anna Quindlen, Living Out Loud (as shown in April 2009 issue of Real Simple)

Can I be your friend? Please check yes, no, or maybe. Thank you.
Yes, you may be my friend=)!
I love you... I love you... I love you... I love you...
I loved this thought! Thanks for sharing it. I am in the same frame of mind these days, especially after moving so much these past few years. I truly value our friendship and look forward to it growing!
I really loved your thoughts on friendship. Reminded me of some truly GREAT friends I've had in my life - and miss (I've moved a lot). Now my dh is my best friend. Still, I highly value my female friendships. I loved the quote of the day - just hilarious! (This is Lorraine whom you met through UCM, by the way - just checking out your blog. I really like it!).
